CAMCE Holds Completion Ceremony of ASEM Summit Mansion Villa Project

On the afternoon of November 1, 2012 Laos Time, CAMCE held the completion ceremony of the mansion villa project for the ASEM Summit in Vientiane, capital of Laos The ceremony took place at the mansion villa. Present were over 200 guests, including Thongsing Thammavong, prime minister of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, deputy prime minister of Laos; Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, Minister and Head of Prime Minister's Office of Laos; Sugan Mahara, secretary of the Vientiane Municipal Committee; and ministers of science and technology, finance, and planning and investment of Laos, Bu Jianguo, Chinese extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Laos, the ambassadors of countries including Germany, Russia, India, Malaysia, Myanmar and Brunei to Laos, the envoys of Laos to countries like Indonesia, the leaders of the Lao-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Lao Chinese Association, Chairman Luo Yan and Party Secretary Zhao Lizhi of CAMCE.

    Thongsing Thammavong addressed the ceremony, speaking highly of the construction of CAMCE’s mansion villa project for the ASEM Summit. As the mansion for heads of states to be present at the 9th ASEM Summit, CAMCE has completed the project within only 14 months as scheduled through scientific organization, elaborate arrangements and intense construction, to provide guarantee for the success of the ASEM Summit. In conclusion, Thongsing Thammavong sent best wishes to CAMCE.

    With the concerted efforts of CAMCE and its partners, the mansion villa project for the ASEM Summit, Phase 1 of Vientiane New World, a large integrated development project invested in and undertaken by CAMCE, has been completed as scheduled and delivered to the Lao government for use during the summit, Luo said in an address, thanking the Lao government for its trust in CAMCE and extending heartfelt thanks to Laos’ Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Vientiane Municipal Government, relevant departments under the Lao government, the Chinese embassy in Laos and its Economic and Counselor’s Office for their support, help and guidance.

    Following the ceremony, Luo showed Thongsing Thammavong and other guests around different housing types of the villa. The guests lauded and marveled at the luxurious and elegant decoration, and the fine furniture and accessories.

    As Phase 1 of Vientiane New World, the mansion villa project for the ASEM Summit is CAMCE’s first large overseas integrated project. The completion of the project has laid a solid foundation for CAMCE’s overseas investment and is of great significance to the company’s transformation and upgrading.
