Today, five years later, the park started the construction of a new project, SINOMACH’s Torch Park, which not only exemplifies the SINOMACH's mission as a central enterprise to actively implement the Belt and Road initiative, but also an important achievement in steadily advancing the resumption of production.

Relying on the advantages of platform of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, SINOMACH’s Torch Park will strengthen scientific and technological cooperation with Belarus and other countries in the Eurasian Economic Union to promote the development of high-tech industries in the park.

President Xi Jinping twice stated at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that China is willing to strengthen innovation cooperation with other countries and implement the Belt and Road technological innovation action plan.

In recent years, SINOMACH has continued to promote the high-quality development of the China-Belarus Industrial Park. In early 2019, in order to further implement the Belt and Road technology innovation action plan, SINOMACH proposed to build a high-tech innovation platform in the China-Belarus Industrial Park. The SINOMACH’s Torch Park project covers a total area of about 6 hectares, with a planned investment of the first stage of US $ 30 million. The project will start construction immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, and planned to complete the first phase of construction at the end of 2021. After completion, it will become the new symbol of the park and the landmark of the main road of the park.

At the ceremony, Elena Alexandrovna Perminova, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, affirmed the SINOMACH’s Torch Park project's commitment to R&D, technology, and innovation, and looked forward to SINOMACH’s Torch Park becoming the center of the park's technological innovation, leading the park's enterprises to a higher level of development.

As one of the Chinese shareholders of China-Belarus Industrial Park Development Company, SINOMACH is always committed to the high-quality development of the park. It has overcome the impact of COVID-19 and worked hard to ensure the early start, early completion, early operation and early results of SINOMACH’s Torch Park project, which contributed to achieving high-quality development of the park. The laying of foundation stone of the SINOMACH’s Torch Park project has made the China-Belarus Industrial Park one step further towards the development goal of high-end manufacturing and high-tech R & D dual-engine drive. In the future, the China-Belarus Industrial Park will aim to become an important regional cooperation platform under the Belt and Road initiative, and promote the comprehensive development of trade, investment, finance and local cooperation between the two countries.

The total planned area of China-Belarus Industrial Park jointly developed by SINOMACH and China Merchants Group is 112.5 square kilometers. It is a project promoted by the heads of China and Belarus and highly concerned by the governments of both countries, which is also the highest level economic and trade cooperation zone with the largest area. The first phase of the park has gained scale, attracting more than 60 companies from various countries to enter the park, with a total investment of nearly 1.2 billion US dollars.
